Description: I bought this vase at an estate sale. I was told that it was brought back to the States from Japan by her husband when he was in the war. Although she didn’t care for it, I found it beautiful and intriguing. The village scene is expertly painted with such attention to the details. The glaze work is unique and full of character. Double figural handled.Vase is 10” tall. There are a few flaws, please see photos as it’s difficult to explain. Looks like minor scuff marks where the paint has rubbed off a bit.
