Description: James Swan boring machine. Machine is in good condition and would make a great display piece or could be used. Wood is solid with a few old powder post beetle holes. Could be tightened up a bit. Mechanism works well but needs a little help getting up to the lock position. One of the thumb nuts for the angle adjustment has one ear broken off. Someone has welded a nut on the bottom of one of the guides to keep drill mechanism from sliding off bottom. Could be easily removed. One of the drilling mechanism slides has been brazed but it looks like an old and good repair. Crack in top of one of the wood uprights has been glued. I glued this one just to reinforce it and seems solid. Handles are in very good shape with just minor cracks. See photos and ask questions.
