Description: For sale we have this beautiful antique Art Deco desk/boudoir lamp. We believe it may have been produced by Markel Corp. (Buffalo, N.Y.) in the 1930's.The lamp possesses all the quintessential elements of the Art Deco period with its "ray gun" discs, its streamlined stylized chrome base and its original frosted glass shade.The lamp has its original pull and it works.There are no chips, cracks, repairs or hairlines on the original glass shade.The chrome is in overall nice shape. There may be some surface scratches, a few small areas of grey enamel/niello loss as well as some minor wear to the chrome on the base commensurate with age and usage (please see photos). However, overall this lamp presents as a super example.We have not restored the lamp or its finish.
