Description: ANTQ_Victor Hugo x 7 Volumes_Deluxe_Limited_Leather_1890s_Very Good NOTE: Pics show 8 volumes, 1 was sold so there are now 7 volumes for sale. Normal 0 false false false EN-US X-NONE X-NONE Cabinet Edition, limited to 1000 copies. Published in 1894 (Toilers in 1892) by George Barrie of Philadelphia, these small 7" x 4-1/2" dark green hardbound volumes are in very good condition, top page-ends gold gilt, shiny gold gilt author and title on spine, decorative silver gilt fleur-de-lis on front cover and spine. The gilt on the covers and spine is incredibly sharp and bright, especially considering that it's over 100 years old! Books have no writing or marks inside, text-block solid, hinges intact, cover corners still sharp. Frontispiece and other plates in each volume protected by onion-skin paper. Page 235 of Hans of Iceland has the corner missing but doesn't affect text. There may be some very minor imperfections that I haven't listed, but nothing major. Please see pics for condition details. A very tight set of almost 130-year old books that will be well-packaged and promptly shipped with USPS Media Mail. Ninety-three, Vol 1-2 - 1894 Hans of Iceland, Vol 2 - 1894 Last Days of a Condemned Man - 1894 Toilers of the Sea, Vols 1/3/4 - 1892 FYI, I am also listing these books individually, in case someone is trying to fill out their collection. If you want more than one, please message me for a package deal.
