Description: Apollo 15 was the ninth manned mission of NASA's Apollo program and the fourth to land on the moon. The crew consisted of Commander David Scott, Command Module Pilot Alfred Worden, and Lunar Module Pilot James Irwin. The mission launched on July 26, 1971, and landed on the lunar surface were David Scott and James Irwin spent three days on the moon. The mission was the first to use the Lunar Rover and is considered the most successful manned flight of the Apollo Program. Listed for auction is a vintage Apollo 15 type 1 insurance cover signed by the complete crew of the Apollo 15 mission. The cover contains an Apollo 15 ink mission cachet, and the autographs are signed as follows. ''Dave Scott'' in black felt pen ''Al Worden'' in black felt pen and ''Jim Irwin'' in black felt pen. The cover measures 6.50 x 3.75 inches and is in fine condition with no faults. The cover will be accompanied with a vintage NASA Apollo 15 Mission crew lithograph which is ideal for display.
