It is a profuse and perpetual bloomer, and will typically flower from late spring to fall, or even into early winter, depending on location. They are considered winter hardy from zone 8B & South. Apple Blossom can tolerate some pretty bad conditions, such as extreme summer heat and salt spray. Mature, well established plants will typically defoliate in response to cold, but will resprout from the roots in the Spring. In Florida this oleander is also known as Davis Island Pink as it graces many lovely estates on Davis Island, which is located off the coast of Tampa and was once considered a very upscale posh address in the 50s & 60s.
