They found a few points locally here in St. Louis. It is obviously authentic and shows nice use with great patination. It is made from a nice local heated Burlington material. There is no modern damage. Apple Creek points are Middle to Late Woodland in age, ranging from 1,500 to 1,700 years old. A nice little point like this will make a great addition to any authentic collection. These are very sought after types by local collectors. They seem to be made of high grade colorful material in most instances. Occasionally you find a rare unheated Burlington chert example. Size 2.39 inches in length.
