Volume one published in 1903, 7X9X2" hardcover with full page full colored photos of 67 different varieties apples and 41 different varieties full page half tone photos. Condition of the book cover is very good, and all of the pictures are excellent.In Vol 2 of Apples of New York by S.A. Beach published there are in 1905 6X9X1.5' edition with 47 full pages of fully colored photos of different varieties in excellent condition as well as 37 half tone photos also in excellent condition. This makes This makes 114 full color plates. The hard covers of BOTH volumes are also very good.These books were originally published to be catalogues of the Apples grown in New York State for mainly the purpose of differentiating the many varieties that then could be correctly labeled. As time has gone on there are now about 10,000 varieties but not as beautifully recorded as in these 2 books.Cornell has recently introduced 4 more new varieties,
