Use the Pictures as your judge as grading is subjective. Inventory#: 60.08Notes: Saitta was an ancient town of the LYDIAN kingdom in Asia Minor. The territory of this town was bounded by the river Ilgi-Chai on the east and on the west by the Demirji-Chai, one or other of which bore the name of Hyllus, and on the south by the Hermus. The coins are as yet the only published records of the existence of this city. The coinage included Semi-autonomous and Imperial issues extending from M. Aurelius to Gallienus. Inscriptions generally include the ethnic CΑΙΤΤΗΝΩΝ. The title of the chief magistrate was First Archon. Under Elagabalus, one of the First Archons was also ‘Αρχιερευς, and another, under Gordian, adds to his name υου ιπ. ‘Ασι. (= son of an Asiarch of equestrian rank).
