Nice example of this early commemorative coin from a Rare / Scarce mint city for this type. As always, Use the Picture as your judge as grading is subjective. Notes: The City Commemorative Types of Constantine I are quite wonderful and stand unique among the other normal roman imperial types for their commemoration of Rome and Constantinople rather than showing the emperor himself. The coins struck commemorating the founding of Rome are called the Urbs Roma types for their Legend carried on them (VRBS ROMA, or literaly City of Rome). These coins depict the bust of Roma (the City Goddess of Rome), and the mythical founders of Rome, the twins Romulus and Remus being suckled by the she-wolf. The coins commemorating the founding of Constantinople and the Eastern Roman Empire carry the legend CONSTANTINOPOLIS and an image of the City Goddess of Constantinople along with an image on the reverse of Victory standing at the prow of a Roman galley. it is interesting that these types were uniformly minted across the Roman Empire, not just in the cities being commemorated, in some cases being minted in the Roman lands in the far distant parts of the empire.
