Now for what really make this knife special. It is a Double Detent Slipjoint model, which we've seen before, but it's the first of its kind to include a way to firmly lock the blade. The included lanyard has a bit threaded on it that can be placed into the hole on the backside of the handle, locking the blade in place. This allows you to have a locking knife which also can be carried in restrictive localities by removing the lanyard, rendering it a non-locking knife. This is the first Archaeo with a detent lock and we're sure it won't be the last.
