Description: ASHWORTH BROTHERS AESTHETIC BROWN TRANSFERWARE MELROSE FLOWERS, DOVES AND BIRDS PLATTER Measures approximately 15" by 11 3/4". Aesthetic Movement platter was made by Ashworth Brothers in Staffordshire around 1862. The pattern name is "Melrose" and was made during the end of the reign of this much beloved Queen. Has beautiful patina and still has a nice glossy shine. There are a few flea bites. In my opinion this piece is in wonderful condition for its age and use. This would be great to add to your collection, but you can still use this very sturdy beautiful platter today.
