Description: Asrock W790 WS motherboard. Working pull.BIOS 4.04. Any claims of "Hyper BCLK Engine" being useful in overclocking should be ignored; on this board, it throws PCIe clocks in sync with the BCLK itself. Expect no more than 108-112MHz BCLK, limited by whatever PCIe cards are plugged in. Additionally, using R0/MCC ES Xeons doesn't seem to work on this board - tested and failed with Q071. Worked fine when QYFU was reinstalled. - QYFU: 48-core D0 stepping Xeon. Closest equivalent is Xeon Platinum 8461V (same uniprocessor limitation)Unlike retail, it has lower clocks; older, physically larger dies; and no microcode updates since 2022. Idle power state will feel like wading through mud in Windows if the BIOS is left at default settings, as it will be shipped. This can be mitigated (at the cost of higher power usage at idle) with these UEFI settings: C6 may need to be disabled.P-States must be set to "Out-of-band (autonomous control)" or "Disabled" (preferred in my experience) in UEFI. - No E1B carrier is included for MCC Xeons. One (1) E1A carrier is included for use with the QYFU. Some other accessories (cable ties, Wi-Fi antenna, manual) are included.While the original box remains, some packing material is missing. -Updates: Start: Posted with broken clips in initial listing. 10/16: D0/D1 slots have new clips installed.
