Description: For sale is this antique Atha 8lb. sledge hammer head. Signed "Atha Tool Co. Cast Steel" with the famous "A" within the horseshoe logo, and "8" , it measures 7-1/16" long with 1-7/8" wide X 1-3/4" tall octagonal faces, with a 1-1/16" X 1-1/4" oval eye. It is in very good overall condition as pictured, showing normal use and wear, with some slight edge chipping on one face, and some slight splaying on the other face, all as shown in the last four{4} pictures. Atha stopped manufacturing under this name in 1914, making this hammer over 100 years old.
