Description: Pair of Atwater Kent AM radio receivers late 1920's early 1930's My dad was in process of restoring these when he passed away in 2001 - have been in storage since. One is complete with all vacuum tubes though 3 tubes were packed for shipment (wrapped in blue paper) and are not in the 3 visible sockets. The second radio is missing two tubes, likely one is the rectifier, not sure about the second one. From what I recall, the only thing missing beyond 2 tubes on one unit, is the thin flat bronze 1/4" metal tape that connects the ganged tuning capacitors, he had purchased the material and planned to drill and solder the tape to correspond with each pulley locating pins but I have NOT been able to locate this material, the buyer would have to obtain/reproduce/build same. Each unit is in very clean shape under the chassis base and the covers for same are there. The surface patina on the exposed surfaces is dust and fine surface rust, nothing appears damaged. The reverse side of the panels for the first radio still sports clean black paint from the factory, it is the external chassis and exposed side of RF covers that are brownish. Both appear to be 110VAC operated, the plug/zip cords may need to be replaced due to age and deterioration. Each unit weighs about 43 lbs in the cardboard shipping boxes (these radios were repatriated from S. America where he had retired to). Each box is approx 21" x 13" x 12" Selling both in one lot. If you can pick up from SW Michigan this is best, but I am putting in the data for calculated shipping. Thanks for shopping
