Audio Research SP-6A Tube Amp (Fully Tested & Serviced w/ Original Box)

Description: ONLY SHIPPING IN THE U.S. -- lower 48 states Audio Research SP-6A. Unit has been recleaned and bench tested, serviced, and is in excellent working order. Please see below for notes about the testing. Unit is in its original box, which is rehoused back into its original shipping box and secured with 2" foamboard on all sides to keep it from moving. We will also wrap around another layer of cardboard. The original box had some aging on it, but was overall well intact and holds the unit perfectly. The amplifier is cosmetically in good shape, with no dings or scratches. Serial on the back of unit reads "19317001". Serial number on the box is also written "19317001". This unit had a service, cleaning, and bench-test inspection by Jeff Jackson at Precision Audio Labs, St. Louis, MO. His additional notes about the unit: "The power capacitors in this preamp are in good condition, and the tubes also sound fine. This Model “A” does not have a protection circuit that protects the amplifiers it is plugged into like the SP-6B, which means there is a switch on the front panel that must be in the right position before power-up and before power-down."
