Description: Bronzed cast plaster bust of Irish playwright and author, George Bernard Shaw (1856-1950), after Auguste Rodin. The pice is 21 inches tall and weighs a very hefty 33 lbs. Signature at front. Foundry mark at back. Philadelphia Museum of Art reproduction mark on verso. Sticker to side with Philadelphia Museum attribution and date of 1954. Overall good condition. Some scattered spots of chipping to left side of face. A very handsome and quite rare vintage plaster cast after the original.
