There is some form of illustration on almost every page. I had a hard time fitting in just a small smattering of what you will find! These are imposing and thick volumes with chunky gold and black title plates that will stand out with distinction. They are some of the most beautiful Civil War books I have seen from any maker. If you collect both Civil War and Easton Press, these are a must. Normally a very scarce set seen less than once a year on Ebay, though a few more sets were seen a couple years ago during a book glut. Things have grown even tighter lately.Condition: Leather is bright with only light sign of shelf wear such as very minor edge wear that is so light it mainly just affects the pigment on the corners and not the actual leather. Light marr to gilt page ends with a few scratches.
