Description: This beautiful and robust 6.5-inch diameter nautiloid, cymatoceras species, was found at a Grayson formation construction site off of McPherson in Fort Worth, Tarrant county, Texas. Sometimes these nautiloids can be even larger. It was washed with soap and water and I used a dremel 290 to remove excess matrix. I personally discovered this nautiloid. Please review ALL photos. The overall nautiloid looks great on both sides. Nautiloids are estimated to be 90-100 million years old, from the Cretaceous period. This would be a nice addition to your collection!
