Please note this when purchasing, but also know that all of the films are very watchable. To keep my prices as low as possible all my DVDs are delivered in plain paper DVD sleeves and the DVDs title will be labeled on the back of the DVD envelope. (See picture) All of my DVD's come with a menu for easy film selection. Total runtime of this DVD is 70 minutes. Item specifics are: Film 1: As We Like It (1952) COLOR Runtime 10 minutes A very nice looking film all about beer production and tavern proprietarying to citizens who appear in their Sunday best at taverns. This is a curiously gung-ho short which talks about the many freedoms that America has, and one of them, is of course, fine malt beverages. Some great 1950's shots of people serving, drinking, and making beer are shown. Release Date: 1952 Entered the Public Domain: 1981 Film 2: With This Ring (1954) COLOR Runtime 40 minutes 100th anniversary presentation of Miller Brewing Co. with dramatized sequences. Hollywood actor Arthur Franz portrayed Miller Brewing Company founder Frederick Miller in a 40-minute commercial film, With This Ring, produced in 1955. The movie, filmed in Hollywood, Milwaukee and Sigmaringen, Germany, followed the story of a fictitious "brewer's ring" allegedly passed on from generation to generation over the 100-yearhistory of the Miller Brewing Company. 1800s historical recreation for people drinking beer from steins, New Orleans outdoor wine garden, men in top hats remove them and bow in polite greeting, recreation of first brewery of Frederic Miller in mid-1800s (in rural Milwaukee!) Mid 1800s beer garden, German band playing (accordions and tubas), German dancers in lederhosen. 1950s construction of new brewery behind the 1800s Miller brewery in Milwaukee. Interior of brewery with huge vats, entire brewing process shown. Beer bottles filled on conveyor belt; mass production (excellent). Beer trucks leave factory. Release Date: 1954 Entered the Public Domain: 1983 Film 3: For Good Living: Brown Derby Beer Promo (1937) SILENT B&W Runtime 19 minutes This fascinating silent film, made in 1937 has people talking first talking about how good the beer is that they've had. Heck one person comments, through his rolling comments, how healthy it is. We then turn to the manufacture of beer. And what a manufacture it is, although this looks almost simplified, it is nevertheless fascinating to watch the beer being made and bottled. Release Date: 1937 Entered the Public Domain: 1966 Film 4: National Drinking Game PSA (1970) COLOR Runtime 1 minutes This is a brief but very well-done Public Service Announcement for alcoholism awareness, which raises the quite legitimate question: why do we drink to have fun? The acting is much better than average for a PSA, as the party-goers begin to realize they might have a problem. Release Date: 1970 Entered the Public Domain: 1999 I claim ownership and rights to this media. All the films on this DVD have been researched and are copyright free or the copyrights have expired due to non renewal.
