See below for details.~~~~~two-PIECE (with SCREWHOLE) STYLETHIS AUCTION IS FOR OUR TWO-PIECE (SCREWHOLE) STYLE GRIPS. SEE BELOW.********ONE-PIECE VS. TWO-PIECE STYLE GRIPS:Note: Two-Piece style grips incorporate a visible screw and screwhole, allowing easy and quick removal for cleaning or maintenance of your revolver. One-Piece style grips do not use a screw but instead use an internal spacer. We sell both types. Both styles are traditional and historical designs and both were originally used on early Colts, so it is a matter of personal preference. Both styles of our grips will interchange and work on either style of grip frame, no matter how your revolver is currently set up. See below.One-Piece style grips (i.e., grips which do not have a visible screwhole in the grips) incorporate a user installed spacer (included with the grips) between the grip panels, as seen on many of the early Colts. The spacer supplied with your grips is sent unmounted to ensure optimum fit with your revolver, with simple, quick installation which takes about one minute or so per panel. Fully illustrated instructions are included. This results in a rock-tight fit, without the need of a screw. Preferred by many collectors for their clean lines and traditional look. One-Piece style grips are removed by removing the three backstrap screws, and pulling the grip and backstrap backwards. Reinstallation is in reverse order. Alternatively, our Two-Piece style grips (i.e., grips with a visible screw and screwhole) offer the superior convenience of quick grip removal. Our grips include a free Conversion Kit, allowing their use on revolvers that are currently set up for One-Piece style grips that do not have a grip pin. The Conversion Kit replaces the need for a grip pin and is actually a stronger design, and allows the grips to lock up tight on the frame, allowing no movement. This requires no modification to your revolver and gives you the advantage of the ease of maintenance of Two-Piece grips, while preserving the integrity of your revolver in original factory condition. Two-Piece style grips were also used on many of the early Colts, and are a traditional and iconic historical design, offering a distinctive look and convenience preferred by many collectors.Fully illustrated, detailed instructions are included with each set of grips. 06302300~~~~~ What these will fit:This auction is for a set of Genuine Magna-Tusk™ grips for the BERETTA STAMPEDE (Model 1873 Single Action Army SAA revolvers). Standard Bonded Ivory is brittle, and tends to weaken and develop stress fractures over time with repeated use, firing, and handling. Magna-Tusk™ is capable of withstanding the heaviest recoil and impact, and is the toughest alternative Ivory grip material available today, while still retaining the pristine look of real ivory. These grips are not cast or made out of an inferior, lightweight material, but are heavy and dense, carefully milled out of a solid block, one at a time. Magna-Tusk is completely rock-solid, stable, and water, chemical, and oil resistant. It is flame and heat resistant, will not melt like Urethane or plastic, and is entirely void-free, with over 10x the strength, durability, and impact resistance of alternative materials. Unlike with real ivory, there is no routine care and maintenance involved, with no danger of it drying out and cracking if not maintained properly or if left in the heat. It is produced with outstanding aesthetic properties and mechanical performance. When aged with our exclusive aging process, it takes on the equivalent of a 100-year-old patina, with subtle grain details which most experts cannot tell apart from the real thing. In addition, the material has a fine grain structure, which holds intricate detail for carvings, artistic relief work, etc., found on many historic grips. About Our Aging Process: We go to great efforts to ensure that our Aged Ivory not only looks similar to real aged ivory, but in fact looks identical to the real thing. Our Magna-Tusk blanks will produce an aged Ivory grip unlike any other material made today. Through our slow aging process, these grips become beautifully mottled, variegated, and weathered just like old, antique Ivory, and incorporate other authentic details found on original old Ivory as seen on many of the revolvers which belonged to gunfighters and lawmen of the Old West. As with real aged Ivory, no two are exactly the same. Our process produces an authentic appearance and genuine patina which extends deep into the surface. Not only does this give it the appearance of authenticity and depth, but this surface will not chip, crack, or peel like a superficially applied coating. With Magna-Tusk aged grips, most experts cannot tell them apart from a decades-old or even a centuries-old original. While the quality difference is somewhat noticeable in the photos, the difference is even more apparent when seen and handled in person. Many of our repeat sales are made by the very customers we sell to, who take their grips to the range or club, where our grips are immediately seen and noticed by others. We are also capable of producing them with a “clean” aged look if required (i.e., without the mottling, etc.), which is a simpler process, although most would agree that they do not look quite as authentic as our regular aged grips. If you are interested in ordering grips for a Brace of pistols, please order both sets together, and we will ensure a good matchup. Dense, heavy, and solid, Magna-Tusk grips are in a class all their own. With our exclusive aging process, these grips are outstanding right out of the box, and will continue to improve over time. The more these grips are handled and used, the better they look! 040720 Please note that the photo used is a stock photo (a sample pair). Yours will appear similar to these.
