In solid black amethyst glass, the plate is divided into three sections. The largest section has a curved separator to match the contour of the plate. The back of the rim has a stippled band. The purple color of black amethyst glass shows through when held to bright light.This plate measures 9 inches in diameter and was made by L.E. Smith from 1927 to 1931. There is no mark.As in most vintage pieces, there are normal, small surface scratches. my mom used these for bridge group once a month... so very little wear. has some scratches on the rims...
