Description: BLUE CHEER- "VINCEBUS ERUPTUM" -Hard rock 1978 reissue LP from Philips. It is correct, this is a Philips release, but this version does have a Mercury label. Originally released in 1968 this album was a thunderous -loud -blueish -rocksy-- album that was a forerunner to the metal category. Summertime Blues became one of the best songs from this album. This version of Summertime blues is edited and leaves out the congressman's reply of -"Id like to help you son but you're to young to vote"! We love this album, it has been cleaned with a Spin Clean MK2 record cleaner using distilled water and Spin Clean cleaner. We play tested both sides of the album in the Iconikrock basement, with an Audio Technica ATLP120XUSB turntable and both sides played great. We replaced the worn out inner sleeve with a new black paper inner sleeve to protect the record. After cleaning and playing both sides we feel it is fairly rated as a VG+ player with a VG+ cover. We will ship the record securely packed in a cardboard record mailer using USPS media mail rates. If you buy this one, play it loud and play it often. Then pass it on...We love records!
