Blue Oyster Cult Eric Bloom Rick Downey Autographs Danny Miranda Pick

Description: 1992 Blue Oyster Cult Fan Club past members printed photograph with 2 autographs and bass pick. Hand signed in front of me by Eric Bloom September 4th, 1995 at the Galaxy Theater Santa Ana California. Signed also by Rick Downey in front of me at the same show just after Eric signed it. I attached a Danny Miranda bass pick with some insulating putty (removable) -- pick found at the Crossroads Bar Yucaipa California (biker bar) August 28, 1998 in front of stage. I have ticket stubs if you need to see them for show verification. Anyway, I got the pick when the house lights went up at Crossroads. Bass picks are super thick, so that is why I know it is his, plus I used to play a little bass, and know what they look like. Rick Downey filled in for Albert Bouchard when he left the Fire of Unknown Origin Tour (Rick saved the tour and opened the next era of BOC for the fact of Albert leaving first). He was on the Revolution By Night album and tour. In 1995 (when he signed this fan club photo) he was the BOC tour manager. Later tour manager for Motley Crue. So, Rick saved the band for awhile, and was a true hero in his own time with the BOC. Rick was part of the Monsters of Rock Concert -- a meltdown between BOC and AC/DC August 22, 1981 in England (internet search Rick Downey, then go to LOUDER article below it to read about meltdown). So Rick is pretty historic with Bloom there at the Monsters of Rock. I got the fan club picture from Bolle (the BOC fan club president and long term close band associate) when I purchased a lyrics book in 1992. I used to drink and party with Eric's nephew. His nephew showed me a picture of them, but I wanted to verify that he was actually his nephew (his nephews' name will be anonymous here for security reasons). So it took a few shows to get to meet Eric. I met him at The Galaxy, and he did verify that he was his nephew. I asked him to sign my picture. All we had was a ball point, so he used that (Rick used it too). The picture is made of a soft semi thick type paper stock, and the signatures etched permanently deep into the picture with the ball point. So the autographs are there to stay. Eric most always scribbles his last name (probably for security reasons). Since I knew his nephew he signed the last name in full and clear signature style. Very rare. He/Eric Bloom also did the BOC "Symbol" as another bonus to me under his signature. He signed everything as to not take up all the space in the photo in case others needed to sign it. Nice of him. Frame is pretty old, has some light wear, BUT the front face is really clean. Glass is non scratched and really clean.Frame measures 11 1/8 inches wide by 8 5/8 inches high. The thickness is about 3/8 inch. The frame is glass front. The back is for wall hang style -- only for nail or wall hanger. The desk prop up arm is removed and NOT available in this listing.
