Description: Solid CNC machined aluminum, polished, with 3/8" stainless steel pinch bolts. 1" thick. Solid, square, easy swap for any airhead using the stock triple tree and 36mm forks,1970-1984. The tops of the stock fork ears(headlight mounts) will need to be cut off 1/2" for the thicker new clamp to slide down the fork tubes. (If you have the RS or an airhead with no stock fork ears, this is completely bolt on ready.) Not stock fitment, but not far. Takes just a few minutes to cut and touch up the ears.The last two photos are of the new clamp below an early top clamp and later top clamp. Fit and function satisfaction guaranteed.
