BMW R90S AIRHEAD, 900cc CYLINDERS, R90S, R90/6, PRE 1976 ENGINES BACK TO /5'S.

Description: BMW AIRHEAD, 900cc CYLINDERS & HI COMPRESSION VENOLIA PISTONS, R90S, R90/6 Can also be fitted to R75/5, R75/6, will fit right up. Have helped some guys do this very conversion with great success. Do not know what the compression ratio is on these pistons, think they have to be at least 10-1's. Are probably a set that Luftmeister offered back in 1980's, they had 10-1's and 11-1's back then. Do not have the wrist pins or buttons for these, if I find them before auction ends I will update the auction. Think they use the standard length wrist pin but with the plastic buttons, there are no grooves for a circlip. Am getting a measurement of about 90.5mm across top of pistons. These pistons were last used in these 900cc cylinders I am selling with them. These were last used in the 1980's, have been in storage ever since. BMW AIRHEAD, R90S, 900cc, 97mm SPIGOT CYLINDERS, 1970-09/75, NICE CONDITION. Spigot size, (where bottom of cylinder fits into engine block), is 97mm,therefore, will only fit to 1969-1974, (actually 09/75 production), later ones are 99mm. Am getting a measurement of about 90.70mm bore diameter. Cylinder walls look good, except for very bottom, where some moisture got to them for a while.You can see it in the close up pictures, it is well below where the rings would ride though. Think a good flex honing is all these cylinders need, but your mechanic can tell you better than I. Fins all good and straight, no damage at all. Includes only what you see in the pictures. Please be sure these will fit your application.
