Boost gauge will show the actual pressure in the system.Listen for leaks. Use soapy spray water to identify small leaks that are not audible.Retest to 10 PSI and move up in every 5 increments up to 20 PSITip: When stopping or removing the air source, watch the boost gauge on the tester to see how fast or slow it bleeds. A good system will hold pressure and leak at a rate of 1 PSI/second. That is normal since some air will pass into the cylinder and past the piston rings and into the crankcase.
