Description: Antique British Officer's saddle. Is reported to be an officer's saddle from the Boer War. Relatively good condition for its age; a good candidate for refurbishing. Leather is dry but most is salvageable. I am unsure whether the short girth strap on the left side was cut, or whether it was always just a shortie like that. One of the removable pads has a crack, and some seam splitting on one edge, but it is usable as-is. I have found no marks or stamps anywhere on the saddle, except for a single star stamped at the pommel end of the burlap underside (you can see this on the photo of the underside). I have not pulled the leather entirely to expose the tree; from what I read it's likely the tree is stamped. Please examine pics and ask questions if I have missed something you need to know. Saddle will be shipped UPS or FedEx at seller's choice, and WILL REQUIRE SIGNATURE CONFIRMATION, so you may need to make arrangements to pick up.
