Description: Here we have two-piece two-handled footed cream soup or bouillon bowl and underplate/saucer sets from Syracuse China (New York, USA) in the retired vintage pattern Richelieu from the Old Ivory line, being offered by the each 2-piece set. Ivory with cobalt blue border decorated with gold Laurel leaf print. Gold-banded rim, with a verge consisting of wider and narrower bands of gold. Bowl measures approximately 1.75" tall x 5" diameter; underplate/saucer has a 6.5" diameter. We have well over 70 pieces in this pattern available in our store, including dinner, luncheon, pie/dessert, and bread plates; fruit bowls and two-handled cream soup bowls with underplates; and various serving pieces. Vintage: this pattern was in production from 1950-1966 Condition: Our photographs reveal the condition best -- please enlarge and zoom in on them, and examine them carefully. We include one photo of each possible piece you could receive. Very clean and fresh, colorful and bright, shiny pieces, completely free of chips, cracks, silver/gray utensil marks, stains and crazing. Overall condition of each set is very good to minty, depending upon the amount of wear present, which may include scattered light, completely colorless, scratches to the glaze, the kind that only show when the piece is held up at just the right angle to a direct source of light. There are also scattered rubs to the gold trim, including at the outer rim and the inner verge. We consider funky odors (cigarette smoke, mildew, etc) to be an important part of a condition report.
