Description: c 1913 "Lotus" pattern #1402 tea trio from Samuel Radford, in Fenton, Staffordshire, with lovely squat Gainsborough shaped cup. Magnificent multi coloured palette of flowers and garlands with lashings of gold highlights. The side plate and saucer are in perfect original antique condition with no chips, cracks, repairs or restoration that I can identify, but some very fine occasional small paint flecks or kiln marks. The cup bears a fine crack (see image 4) but is stable and still presents beautifully. The gilding on all 3 pieces is in great condition. All pieces bear the Radford crown Lotus England back stamp, some have hand written pattern number and painters marks. Ref: 657,658
