Description: Store Counter Display Requires ReassemblySeveral USPS Shipping OptionsDESCRIPTION – Unusual and highly decorative genuine vintage Kodak store counter film display – requires reassembly. At the time of developing this listing, I was unable to find an on-line example and found no sales on eBay in the previous two years. My guess is that this is from the 1940s. The front is approximately 15 x 15 inches in size. It is designed to have glass shelves behind the glass front holding Verichrome film boxes. This is in very clean condition. No glass cracks. One of the shelf supports has a very tiny bit of one corner missing – will not affect stability or reassembly. Also, the display is missing one glass piece approximately 6.25 x 2 inches that supports the top shelf. You can easily have that piece cut locally. I intended to reassemble, but now have no time to dedicate to the project. This display has specific marked shelf locations for Verichrome film types V-116, V-616, V-127, V-120, and V-620. The graphics and coloring are very clean. I have this same display with a base glass and one shelf. This example has the base glass and two shelves. This was made by Wetzel Display Case Co., Wabash, Indiana (small tag affixed). REASSEMBLY – You will need to reassemble the glass pieces. When originally assembled, small “felt-like” pads were placed on the glass-to-glass edges. These are dry and probably why the sections came apart so easily. Please do not be surprised if during shipping the two attached glass pieces (bottom and left side) have separated. A quick check on-line shows that there are many glues specifically for glass. SHIPPING – Shipping is actual cost according to location - no additional charges. Will be packed carefully to try and prevent currently affixed side and base from coming apart. However, several pieces that seemed securely attached easily separated when I was cleaning it for eBay photos.
