Description: c1805 Antique 19thc John Rose Coalport 21cm Square Dish Finger & Thumb Pattern Antique Coalport Dish c1805 measures 8 & 1/4" or 21cm in very good condition. It has a small area of professional restoration to one corner of the piece which is pointed to in images for pre purchase inspection. There are not any other chips cracks or restoration. The Coalport "Finger and Thumb" pattern is a beautiful and intricate design that was produced by John Rose at Coalport between 1803 and 1807. This pattern was inspired by the Imari style from Arita, Japan, and is characterized by its deep cobalt blue, bright red or orange, green, and gilt colours.
