The smaller card is marked on the back, "Mary Leonrad age 14". The card measures 5 3/4" x 4" and the image measures 3 3/4" x 2 3/8". Both cards are embossed with the studio name, "Horvell, Altamont, Illinois". The larger photograph is not ID'ed with name. I got both in a lot purchase together and there is a strong family resemblance to these two. The larger portrait card measures 8" x 6" with oval image size measuring 5" x 3 3/8". This vivacious looking woman is wearing lots of jewelry...big link bracelet, pin, earrings, rings and watch pin. The lace collar is outstanding. She is leaning on two books. The titles are, " The New Centruy Home Book" and , " Burnet's Art Essays". Not common to see women with books in portrait studio work.
