This weighs over 2 pounds 12 ounces on my accurate scale, that's over 4 ounces more than the box states, and the box has never been tampered with. I bought this back when allergies were bothering me and adding this to my laundry, prevented hives by softening the hard water so the detergent goes out of the clothes better, though I now use a different product, that I had to find since they stopped manufacturing this. It worked great instantly though, as well as you reduce the amount of detergent you put in the wash initially.
