Underarm support supports should be 2" from under the 15° 10 30° bend at the elbow. Handgrip Bottom post Bottom post adjusting bolts Lip -E- Step 1: According to the diagram on the reverse side, pre-adjust bottom post to the nearest patient height by removing bolts and wing nuts. Align the holes in the lower end of each crutch side bow with appropriate set of dotted lines. Reinstall all bolts and wing nuts securely! Step 2: With the patient wearing shoes and standing naturally, place the tip of each crutch (E) approximately 2 inches outside of and 6 inches forward of each foot (F). With the tips in this position the underarm support (A) should be approximately 2 inches below the armpit. Readjust the bottom post (D) up or down, as appropriate, to achieve the recommended 2 inch clearance Step 3: Adjust the hand grip (C) to the location which causes the elbow to bend between 15 and 30 degrees when the crutches are in normal walking position. Safely Cautions: • All bolts and wing nuts must be tightened and checked periodically for tightness. • Bottom must fuily inserted in the rubber tip. • Rubber tips are subject to change in environmental conditions.
