Canon EF-S 18-55mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Zoom DSLR Camera Lens

Description: Here is a Canon EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS II zoom DSLR camera lens with front and rear caps, as shown. It works well on everything I tried except when zoomed all the way hard over to 18mm, at which it often will not autofocus correctly and my camera will then not allow me to take a photo. The focus indicator light in my camera's viewfinder will just blink and the shutter will not actuate. I was able to get it to autofocus there by zooming to something else, focusing, then going back to 18, but it doesn't always work. When set just a little out from 18, autofocus worked fine. See the last three photos taken with the lens just prior to creation of this listing. The two of the power pole were taken, hand-held, at the two extents of the focus range, using autofocus. It took a few tries to get the zoomed out image. The one of the pop can was taken indoors, and shows about how close the lens will focus (on an APS-C crop-sensor camera, remember) when zoomed in to 55mm and at the closest position at which it would focus. These photos are all straight out of my camera with no cropping or editing. They look pretty good to me. If you don't absolutely need focus at 18mm and can live with 20mm or so, it seems the lens works well. Sold as-is, though, since it is not functioning perfectly and I have to declare it, "For parts or not working." Please ask any remaining questions before bidding or buying.
