Description: Up for auction is a copy of CAPTAIN MARVEL #31 from 1973 with story and art by Jim Starlin and featuring CAPTAIN MARVEL, MOONDRAGON, DRAX THE DESTROYER, AND THE AVENGERS AGAINST THANOS (in his 7th appearance) as part of the 1st THANOS SAGA. This saga is basically an early version for the later Infinity Gauntlet storyline in that Thanos acquires the Cosmic Cube (later revealed to be an Infinity Stone) to conquer Earth as the beginning of his plan to impress Death. The Infinity Gauntlet continues this concept when he acquires all of the Infinity Stones and uses them to wipe out half the life in the universe again to impress Death. If you've never read the 1st Thanos Saga by Jim Starlin, it's an awesome read! Book is complete, clean, flat, crease-free, with cover and centerfold attached, off-white pages, and very good cover gloss. There is some light spine wear consisting of a few stress lines and creases and some light corner and edge wear. The upper left back cover has an erasure mark where the resale price of the comic was erased. A nice looking book, I would grade it as a F+. This will make an excellent addition to your collection.
