Description: 1982 matching # Set of 11 volumes (incomplete volume set); Carlyle’s Works. Volumes 1, 16, 18-26 all matching #440 of 1000 printed. Books are in overall good/very good condition. Individual conditions listed below. All books have deckled pages, top of text block is gild, title plates on spine are intact. Volume #1 is in the worst condition. The rest of the volumes are in nearly identical condition. None of these books have writing, highlighting or underlining inside the books. All books have green cloth boards with moderate wear, pushed spine ends, bumped corners, light fading. Title plates on spine are heavily tanned, stained, moderate/heavy wear but very readable. No stickers or writing on the bindings/covers. Volume 1; French Revolution is in fair/good condition. Book #1 has more wear than the rest, slight spine lean, contents page is cracked and partially detached, water stain on the first 21 pages in the upper right corner. Binding is slightly looser than the others but completely intact. Volume 18; partial crack (approx 2”) in between the contents page and list of illustrations page. All pages intact and binding is tight. Volume 16, 19-26; Moderate wear with no notable condition issues. All pages are intact and bindings are tight. Books will be carefully wrapped in bubble wrap and securely packaged in a box for safe shipping.
