Many consider Castello to be, by far, the very finest of all Italian crafted tobacco pipes. In mint, very lightly smoked condition, here’s elegant bent Billiard shaped pipe from the lauded Castello pipe shop in Cantù, Italy. It houses an oversized chamber. The thick chamber walls with the rustication will keep the pipe cooler smoking. Draft hole is center and above the bottom of the chamber. Chamber interior is very clean and very sound. There is Castello’s wide open, effortless draw. Tenon to mortise union is sound, snug and flush. Acrylic stem is a crisp jet black bearing no marks. Due to desirable graining, pipe weighs only a mere 1. 95 ounces (55.1 grams) No fills. No handling marks, but there is a tiny bit of rim discoloration. Pipe passes a cleaner with ease.
