Description: This listing is for a CHAMPION Forge Blower No. 400 Vtg / Antique Hand Crank Blacksmith Coal Tool PA. Champion Blower and Forge Co. was a well-known maker of blacksmithing machinery that was founded 1875 by 17 year old Henry Keiper in Lancaster PA to manufacture the rotary forge blower he had invented. This unit is in good antique condition. It still moves air with good force when the handle is turned, I believe it is functioning as well as it should, with no broken or badly rusted blades inside. It is a great piece for use in the home forge / man cave, and a variety of other uses. A well built piece that will last longer than anything made today. It is in good antique condition. All the badging is present and legible. The handle looks to have been replaced, but it still cranks just fine when in place. There is just one rust spot, which is not deep or structurally damaging, where it likely touched the ground for a while, but has no other large areas of rust and no corrosion. No cracks or chips to the metal that I have seen. Extremely solid piece weighing approximately 42 pounds. Thank you for your consideration, reasonable offers always considered. Comes as shown, please see photos for details and measurements. Local pickup also available in 15101 (Allison Park, PA).
