A pretty common issue with these older statues. I'm not sure if it is the kind of paper or just the age. The statue is brand new and has never been displayed. This statue is gorgeous. It's been in a closet ever since. The statue is in perfect condition with the original box. The box is beautiful and basically flawless as well.This statue has been stored in a smoke free and pet free environment.
