Description: China Painting Set Of 2 plaques. One is of Cucumbers, the other is of Carrots & Peas. Both Wall Plaques Are Signed Lesa on the front and back. Diameter of each is 6-1/4”. Age is unknown, they could be vintage or range back to antique. These were created by purchasing blank pre-fired, white-ware that was then painted by a decorator and refired to glaze it. This was an extremely popular pastime, hobby and business among women between the 1870s and early 1900s.
