Description: This is way cool! A great conversational piece indeed. Nice to see this still has the original box and football. Box looks to be in good condition with some shelf wear. I can see how a lot of these units broke. The spring is much more powerful than the chassis build. Repetitious use of this thing would self destruct. In this toy's current condition. It is missing the release handle that was located near the timer. It does still somewhat work. But you have to manually hold the arm under the line, then set the timer. Like a piano key striking a string. Once the timer goes off then a arm swings in to release a spring then the main spring launches the football. It is good that the main spring is still intact and functionable. So it basically half works. But because the base is plastic, the metal support stands just cannot hold its impact. After so many uses the stand butts up against the plastic and wears past the bottom of the base. It took me a little bit to figure it out. Then once I tried it, because of the base stand worked its way up on impact of the launch. I damn near got hit in the nuts. I should of been wearing my nut cup. It can be modified to work like it should and it is cool. Missing the art work panel on one side. The ball holder has a small chip in it. Selling this toy in AS IS condition.
