Description: We currently only have red small buttons for the back of the joystick for the "1" player one start, and "*" for player one restart. You can see pictures added with those small red buttons on the joystick to see what it looks like. If you prefer the small black buttons wait until this notice goes away from the description when we get more inventory of those buttons. We actually really like the look of the small red buttons! Great arcade style joystick for your Colecovision console or Colecovision Adam computer. Both buttons operate independently with games that support two buttons like: Choplifter, Defender, H.E.R.O., Omega Race, etc. For games that just use one fire button the left button would be the fire button. Any game that requires a super action controller would not work with this joystick. There are 5 titles that require a super action controller. They are: Front Line, Rocky Super Action Boxing, Super Action Baseball, Super Action Football, Super Action Soccer. If you have a game that requires keypad use during the actual game (Mouse Trap for instance) it would not be playable with our joystick unless you had a "Y" cable and had a coleco joystick with keypad plugged into the Y cable along with ours. We also have two small buttons on the back side of the joystick (see pictures) that work as the "1" and "*" keys on a normal Colecovision keypad. These generally allow you to start a one player game and continue a game. This works for most games. If you wish to start a game on a higher difficulty level than the "1" key on our joystick allows, you can use a standard Coleco controller in port 2 and hit the keypad number for the difficulty you want. Then play the game with our controller on port 1. This works for the games we have tested, and we would be happy to test any games you might want us to verify. If the game would require using a keypad on port 1 you could either use a standard Coleco controller on port 1 to start the game and then switch to our controller, or use a Y cable to allow both to be connected. But most games allow starting a game with the second controller and playing from the first controller. Or you can use our two side buttons for starting and restarting one player with easy difficulty. The joystick would also work with the Atari 2600 as a one button joystick, along with other systems compatible with the Atari 2600 style joystick. In those cases it would be a single fire button joystick and the second fire button and back buttons would not be functional. Please don't hesitate to message if you have any questions!
