Every seed will grow 2 plants. Can be used as a natural pest control! Seeds are harvested during the summer. They grow almost in soil but prefer loamy soils well-drained. They grow best in full sun but need partial shade in hotter climate areas. Sow seeds 1/2 in deep or on the surface and space seeds 6-8 inches apart and 15 inches apart in rows if you intend to harvest the seeds. If you intend to use it for its leaves, space seeds are at least 2 inches apart. Will grow well from neutral to alkaline soils if provided nutrients. Best is grown in pH of 6.2 to 6.8. When flowers start to appear for the first time, they will attract lots of bees. Cilantro stems will more likely be back next year if you cut the stem without pulling the roots. In southern zones, it is best to plant in light shading if you dont want them to bolt quickly. Too much sun can cause cilantro to bolt quickly.
