Description: This is a very nice hardcover collectors’ edition of The Complete Works of William Shakespeare. This copy is a first printing (pic 3) of this very popular book and has never been read (I am the original owner). Due to the decorative cover (I assume), the first and other printings did NOT come with a dust jacket. Since then, at least 13 (m) printings have occurred. This edition is illustrated, but only contains a few black and white illustrations (e.g., pics 4 & 5). It is approximately 9.25 X 6.25 X 2.25 inches, contains 1229 pages, and weighs about 3 pounds. This copy is very good, but has some minor edge, cover, and corner wear (see pics). There are dents at the top of the front cover (pic 12) and the lower right back cover has a chipped section that has been repaired (the chip was glued back on, pic 11). The pages, and especially the exposed page edges, have age discoloration (pics 8-10), but there are no visible glue stains on the inside of the book covers. Overall, it is in very good condition for a book that is more than 45 years old. This book will be shipped in a box by USPS media mail. Please contact me with any questions and thanks for looking!
