Description: For sale is an bone china low cup and saucer by Copeland Late Spode in a Castle pattern in mulberry purple. The coupe saucer features an purple print of engraving of the historic Threave Castle, built in 1370, along the River Dee inside a fine line border. The cup features art of Caergwle Castle, built approximately in 1277, the inside of the cup with a band on the lower exterior and detailing on handle. Both the cup and saucer have a pie crust lip. Both pieces are in very good condition with no damage or wear with fine overall crazing. The saucer is marked in purple for Copeland Late Spode; the cup has a slightly different mark for Copeland Spode. Both are marked with castle name. Made in England.
