Cross Stitch & Country Crafts aka Cross Stitch & Needlework, 1985-2012

Description: Back issues from 1985 to 2012 of Cross Stitch & Country Crafts which changed into Cross Stitch & Needlework in 1996. There were many many terrific patterns published over the years in these issues from now well-known designers. Some patterns extended over several issues. These are all previously owned magazines so some are in better condition than others. When I have multiple copies of the same issue, I will send out the best one available. Patterns, tips, stitch diagrams, finishing directions, designer spotlights, shop spotlights, book reviews, and more. Lots and lots of terrific projects, some small, some larger, some easy, some more difficult. If you end up overpaying for postage, I will send you a partial refund. Notes -The premier issue was published sometime before November 1985. There was also a Sample Issue published around the same time with patterns from multiple issues.The July/August issues were famous for carrying a Christmas stocking patterns. These stocking patterns were eventually collected into a separate book (maybe more than one?) This magazine has a confusing history.Originally published by the Craftways Corporation which at some point became a wholly owned subsidiary of the Meredith Corporation until the July/August 1991 issue when it suddenly added Better Homes & Gardens to the cover.But the issues still claimed to be published by the Craftways Corporation, still a wholly owned subsidiary of the Meredith Corporation, until the May/June 1993 issue which no longer claimed publishing by the Craftways Corporation only the Meredith Corporation.This continued until the March/April 1994 issue which suddenly was published by the Craftways Corporation again with no mention of the Meredith Corporation.This continued until the March/April 1996 issue which suddenly was published by the Meredith Corporation with no mention of the Craftways Corporation.Then the June 1996 issue changed its name to Cross Stitch & Needlework, proclaiming "Formerly Cross Stitch & Country Crafts", still published by the Meredith Corporation.Then it went dormant for a while sometime around 1999.Then it resurfaced still as Cross Stitch & Needlework starting numbering again in January 2006 with Volume 1 published by Bayview Publishing and no longer having Better Homes & Gardens on the cover.It ceased publication in Winter 2016.
