Description: These Shure 561 microphones make excellent Harp mics with excellent breakup and tone when converted to High Impedance (50 K-Ohms) with a transformer. The element used in the 561 model is the same design used in a variety of other Shure microphones like the 533SA, 575, 560 and a few others which all make Great Harp Mics. The 561 was originally a low impedance mic but this one has been converted to High Impedance and is a nice hot one! In addition to the strong output this mic also has Excellent Bottom End Frequency Response. I have modified many of these here at The Harp Mic Shop and they are a real pleasure to play Harp through especially if you like a small but responsive mic which is easy to hold and cup. There is just enough room inside the aluminum body to install a volume control and transformer and a Switchcraft Adapter without the coupling fits perfectly at the bottom of the body and allows the use of a standard guitar cable. A set screw secures the adapter in place so that it does not unscrew making this a solid little Harp Mic. If you are looking for a little mic with a big sound you will definitely be pleased with this Customized Shure 562. Thanks for looking!
