The 40 CYCLING ILLUSTRATIONS are all in the JUGENDSTIL / ART NOUVEAU STYLE that was flourishing in Vienna at the time, most are chromolithographed or helio-engraved images, many are multi colored or tinted. ALL the illustrations feature BIKES and CYCLISTS, male and female. The illustrations are based on works by noted Austrian and German illustrators of the day. The accompanying text is by numerous members of the Vienna Cycling Club. HARDCOVERS, engraved illustration on the front cover, 9x12 inches (23x30 cm), 81 pages plus 2 pages of art nouveau style ads at the rear. CONDITION: The cover corners are worn and chipped and the edges are mostly worn through, otherwise the covers are solid and the front cover's engraved illustration is brilliant; internally nice, there is light toning to the margins otherwise the pages are tight, bright, clean, clear and unmarked.
